![]() Basics Name: Tom Lucas Weir Age:/Birthday 37 Gender: Male Nationality: Scottish Sexuality: Straight Status: Widowed Occupation: Personal Trainer at Bally Total Fitness Appearance Tom is reasonably tall coming in at a good 6' and is slim but not overly so. His hair is a pale blond, almost white and comes down the bottom of his chin. His eyes are a blue colour and have a friendly look about him. His clothes are often sports clothes as he spends a lot of his time at work or working out himself and he finds them very comfortable. Most of all Tom just has an air of relaxed friendliness about him. Personality Tom would be described by the majority of people as a friendly, engergetic guy and they would be right. From an early age, Tom has always had a lot of energy that he didn't know what to do with which is one reason that he focused on sports and fitness so much. He loves having fun and socialising with his friends and family. He is a sweet guy who likes to see the best of everyone and has the ability to get along with everyone- mostly. Like everyone else, Tom has the people he can't get along with no matter how hard he tries to. Of course he knows that he can't always get on with everyone, it is just a way of life. His friends often say that he likes to see the best in everyone too much and this is why he tries to get on with them. Of course while he knows that not everyone is the best he does like to think that everyone has some good in them. Tom is very passionate about the things he believes in and enjoys which can lead to some very heated discussions at times. These have gotten him into trouble with some people before and while he is learning to control his reactions he is still very much passionate as ever. He just doesn't express it out loud as much which some people are very grateful for. He can spend hours and hours at something once he starts as he gets very involved with things. Whether it is spending time at work, exercising or with his family he will devote himself fully to the activity to the point of putting off and ignoring other things as long as he possibly can. Due to his wife's death seven years ago, he can still sometimes have periods of slight depression though it is nothing major. Mostly he will lock himself in his room for awhile or go to the gym and work out for as long as possible. These bouts only last a day or so if that and aren't all that common now that he has come to terms with her death for the most part. Likes: Tennis, football, working out, his family and friends, movies, pizza, summer, 80's music, Dislikes: Coffee, tea, being told to 'move on', people who don't listen to other people, hypocrites and liars Strengths: Loyal, hardworking, dedicated, passionate Weaknesses: can get involved to much with things, can piss people off by arguing his case to much, a bit naive and innocent, keeps his emotions deep inside him History Born on September 2 1973, Tom Lucas Weir is the only child of two middle class Sctoland workers who lived in Glasgow. Growing up with his parents he lead a relatively normal childhood. He had his interests, friends, people he got along with, people he didn't. He had his bouts of stubbornness and was just generally a normal child. While at school he worked well at his subjects though his favourite was always sport. He was an energetic boy who loves to run around and have fun with his friends. From an early age he excelled at Basketball as he was reasonably tall for his age as well as Football which he would often play with his friends after school. From an early age he knew his passion lay with sport and he enjoyed playing it as well as watching it. His favourite was tennis which he took lessons in from the age of nine but he found as he grew older that he wasn't skilled enough to go pro - he had always wanted to do that. So instead he looked elsewhere in the sports field to make his career. This caused him to often but heads with his parents who wanted him to have a 'proper' career like law or a doctor or even a banker or something like that but he knew it wasn't for him. While he was a hard worker he just didn't enjoy that sort of thing. The year before his final year at school though his father managed to get a job in Brunswick, America so the whole family moved there. At first Tom wasn't all that happy about it but he quickly settled into life there. he made some good friends and did well during his last year at school though he had to work hard to catch up a bit due to the differences in curriculum. After graduating he applied to the local college and attended there majoring in Sport Therapy which he really enjoyed. It was there that he met his first serious girlfriend. They dated for a couple of years but ended up breaking up as they had to go their separate ways. That isn't to say that they aren't still good friends though. After graduating he returned home and got a job at Bally Total Fitness as a junior trainer where he has been ever since. He loves the job and being able to help people as well as work in an area of sport is perfect for him. When he was 23 he met his wife, Mary and got on really well with her. They were married a year later and had three children together. All was going well until five years later when Mary was unfortunately killed in a hit and run not far from their house. This tore Tom up as they had been extremely close but with the help of his friends and family as well as the thought of his children he has managed to move though he still misses her even though it has been nearly eight years since her death. |
