Manipulative - Jenny is someone who enjoys getting what she wants and she is well versed in using people to her ends. She hates people getting things that she wanted and couldn't get and loves getting revenge on people. HISTORY: Wikipedia & Athurian Legend & The Camelot Project
BACKSTORY: Jenny was an unexpected pregnancy, with her brother already nine when she was born. Nonetheless, she was welcomed into the family with open arms though her brother took some time to get used to the fact that he was no longer an only child and had a screaming baby sister that kept crying all the time and took a lot of his parents attention away from him which he absolutely hated. It wasn't until a few years had passed and she'd grown up a bit that their relationship began to improve.
Jenny was always a needy child, demanding attention from anyone around her and truthfully that never changed as she grew older. What Jenny wanted, Jenny got. End of story. At least in her books that was, in others she was a child who was annoying, loud and didn't know the meaning of the word no, no matter how many times she was told it. In fact she was often described as a problem child, a child who needs more punishment and a lot of other things along those terms but no matter what people did she didn't improve.
When she was five, her father got a job in France and the entire family moved there for the next six years. Jenny didn't want to move but she had very little choice in the matter - none for that matter given her age. While there she continued on much the same way as she did back home in America though she enjoyed the history aspect of the country as well. Once she returned to America she continued to practice her French as she did like the language.
That was until she was a teenager.
At school, Jenny did well, proving that she was naturally clever, hard worker and quite determined to do the absolute best that she could be. That and she hated seeing people do better than her at anything which was a massive driving force in how hard she worked in classes. The older she got the more determined she became to come out on top, to get what she wanted. It took a lot of work but she finally managed to learn how to manipulate people into doing what she wanted.
When she was eighteen, she came across a mention of Wicca something she had vaguely heard about before but hadn't given much thought to. This time though she took the time to read about it and found that it appealed to her though she had no idea why. Over the next few years she taught herself all it meant to be, never considering joining a Coven but preferring to work by herself.
After leaving school she spent a few years traveling the world before she attended college where she studied foreign languages with a focus on French and Latin the latter more as a interest than any real use given it was a 'dead' language. She just had an urge to study it which she couldn't explain. Graduating not long after her twenty-sixth birthday and got a job at the local high school teaching French. She hated being surrounded by all the children but it was a job and she was able to make a living off her income.
It wasn't long after that when she started to have dreams of her life as Morgan Le Fay. At first she was confused but over time she realised that there were too many similarities between the two of them and she came to the conclusion that she was a reincarnation of the famous Sorcerer. At first she had no idea what to think of it, she never did breathe a word about it, but she found that in time she didn't mind, it was who she was after all.
Staying at the High School for three years, she finally had enough and applied to various places before taking the job at Montenegrou as the professors of French and surprisingly Latin as well. Once there, she found that she truly fitted in as much as she ever had there were bits and pieces that didn't though and she just put it down to her original self and her personality.
PERSONALITY: Jenny is ambitious, determined and manipulative when it comes down to herself, personality wise. The only loyalty she feels is to herself, not caring for others all that much. She does care about her family but that is about it and only then just, more of an obligation than a choice in the matter - they're her family, they were there for her and she feels like she somewhat owes it to them for putting up with her. Just, for the most part she doesn't care. If she gets what she wants that is all that matters. It therefore it won't come as a surprise that many people don't like her, think she's arrogant, selfish and just generally a not nice person, not that she cares about what they think which perhaps makes the situation worse than it might be otherwise and has alienated many people over the years, even those who have tried to befriend her.
Yes, Jenny is incredibly selfish when it comes down to it which is surprising as her parents didn't give into her every whim as a child but tried to teach her that she couldn't have everything, it just didn't work. A lot of that is to do with being a reincarnation of Morgan Le Fay though and her personality influencing Jenny's.
Jenny is very self-centered and puts herself first all the time, she has never thought about how her actions will impact others. If it doesn't benefit her in the long run then she won't go ahead with it even if it would be good for other people. This has made her life a lot harder in the long run than it might have been causing her trouble in finding part time jobs while growing up, being accepted into clubs, not that she had much interest but her parents encouraged it for a short while before they gave up on that idea. Even when she was given a chance she would quickly ruin it by her behavior and inability to watch what she says.
Jenny loves to succeed, she loves to be better than everyone else and she will do all that she can to get there, not stopping until she has succeeded. Since she was a teenager she had learned the art of manipulating people into doing what she wants and while some might feel guilty about using people Jenny doesn't feel anything like that at all. In fact, Jenny doesn't feel much beyond annoyance, satisfaction when she actually manages to do something and anger, the rest of the time she's just... neutral, rarely if ever is she truly happy about something. Due to this, Jenny has no problem with using people to achieve the best results for herself. She has perfected it to such a fine art these days that they rarely realize what is happening much to her delight.
She is also insanely curious about a lot of things, the more knowledge she can get the better. To her a lack of knowledge is a sign of weakness, a sign that you aren't powerful. Of course knowledge isn't all power, power comes with the ability to use that knowledge to your own advantage, something Jenny likes to think that she can do. Whenever she hears of something new she has to find out all that she can about it, when she travels someplace new she'll find out all about. Not only that but Jenny is well known at all of the bookstores and libraries in her quest to read and absorb as much information as possible. The people in these bookstores and libraries might very well be the people she gets on the best with and enjoys talking to as much as she can.
Jenny isn't good with other people, just not understanding how to interact with them well. Growing up she found all children her own age immature and annoying which lead her to her books which forced her even more a part from them. Nothing changed the older she got, in fact she grew less and less able to understand other people. She was too blunt, to sarcastic and far to selfish to be any good at making friends with others not that she wanted to. She has an incredibly bad habit of speaking without thinking of the consequences, often insulting people as she does so. No matter how much she was punished, yelled at and anything else that the adults in her life did as a child, she would never change her ways, never learning what was wrong with what she was doing.
She can also have a very short temper when it comes to dealing with people, especially ones that are exceptionally dumb. She'll curse, swear and yell and if you really push her she might slap you across the face though she has learned how to temper the last bit since coming to work at the University. That doesn't mean she won't loose it and in fact has been pulled into the Head's office more times than she would like to count but like when she was a child she hasn't taken the words to heart and realized what is wrong with how she is behaving.
