History: Born on May 18 1973 to Andromeda and Ted Tonks, Nymphadora Isla is their only child. She was named Nymphadora as her mother had always adored that name and Isla for an old relative in the Black Family who was disowned for much the same reason as Dora's mother. From a young age she was a very energetic child- even baby for that matter, who would cry for hours at end and learnt to move around by herself at an extremely young age. It quickly got on her parents nerves but despite that they adored her and were more than willing to put up with that behaviour. Just as long as when she grew older she learnt when enough was enough.
At the age of two she showed her first sign of magic which was when she managed to transform her appearance to something entirely different to escape from her parents in Diagon Alley who were insisting they go home when she didn't want to. At first neither Ted or Andromeda realised how she had done it but it didn't take long for them to realise she was a metamorphamagus.
The coming years where tiring on on the Tonks family- not only did they have to deal with there daughter's rare magical abilities and what it would mean for her as she grew older but also her energy. Dora, from an early age was always on the move and once she learned to walk there was no stopping her. She would constantly try and get places where she wasn't supposed to be, run off on her parents and just constantly move around. Eventually, Dora's paternal grandparents suggested that they take her to the Muggle doctors to be tested to see if she hadAttention-deficit Hyperactivity Disorder or ADHD as it was more commonly known. While she wasn't diagnosed with it the Doctor's did suggest some of the treatments to help her calm down and while they worked to an extent, Dora would remain quite energetic for years to come.
As she grew older and the war against Voldemort picked up her parents explained to her about her family history and what it would mean to her and those who knew her as the 'halfblood Black'. Dora found that she didn't care though, as she had grown up in both the Magical and Muggle world's she knew that everyone was the same and that blood didn't matter. If people didn't like her then so be it, it wasn't her problem to deal with.
Finally upon turning eleven she was accepted into Hogwarts where she was sorted into Hufflepuff. She quickly settled into life at Hogwarts and made some close friends though she did quickly gain a reputation as a klutz as well as for her metamorphmagus abilities which a lot of people were jealous of. This caused her to have some enemies and it wasn't long until her parents wrote her telling her to stop using her abilities so freely. While she didn't understand why that was the case she did it because her parents asked her too.
Over the years at Hogwarts she settled in well and while she found her true friends as well as the subjects the she enjoyed and excelled at. Also the subjects she had to work hard at as ever since her mother had told her about the war and the Auror's she had wanted to be one - despite her ability to trip over pretty much anything that was around, including air. She did quite well at Defense and Potions which was good in that regard though she did averagely at her other subjects though she would admit later on that she could probably have worked harder at those subjects.
As she grew older though she started to realise why her parents warned her about using her abilities all the time. When she was fourteen it happened for the first time - a boy asked her to change her appearance for him before coming onto her. Luckily she managed to get away from him before anything happened though she was shaken for a couple of days.
Ever since then, whenever someone wanted her to change her appearance she wouldn't. If they wanted a relationship with her it had to be in her natural form. This worked well and over the rest of the years at Hogwarts she had a couple of girl and boyfriends - she had realised at a young age that she was attracted to both sexes though it leans more towards girls at the moment. She won't say no to a good fuck by a boy though if the opportunity arises.
During her seventh year at Hogwarts she undertook extra Potion lessons with Professor Snape to keep her mark averaging at an Outstanding as that was what was needed to get into the Auror training program. Luckily when it came to graduation she had the necessary NEWT's to enter Auror Training.
Over the next three years she undertook the training and while she succeeded at concealment thanks to her metamorphmagus abilities she nearly failed stealth though due to her inability ofnot tripping of things. It was also during this time that she started to year her hair pink most of the time. She started to vary it with purple and a few other colours though.
Personality: Tonks is an epitome of a Hufflepuff, she is loyal to her friends and family as well as extremely hard working. She will do whatever she believes is correct in a situation and usually likes to think the best of people. Of course she knows that some people aren't the sort of people she likes to be around but she likes to think that deep down they are that sort of person, but they just have to realise that. Her easy going nature made her popular with a lot of people in her house but at the same time her habit of speaking her mind made her a lot of enemies. She doesn't have any tack when it comes to anything which has gotten her into a lot of trouble in the past though she is getting better at curbing that instict. Sometimes.
Tonks can also be quite stubborn and prejudiced at times though she thinks she means well. Her parents told her about her mother's family and others like it and she therefore hates people who believe in blood purity and the like. She will not listen to anyone who says anything different and prefers to have nothing to do with them if possible. It isn't only blood prejudices that she can be quite stubborn about, anything really. If someone says she can't do something she probably will end up doing it just to say 'you can't boss me around' unless you are her parents of course. They have a lot more sway with her than other people.
Another down side to Tonks is that she can not stay still for long periods of time. While she doesn't have ADD/ADHD she just is constantly moving about. Or tripping over things- she is a klutz and it shows in her day to day life. She's just full of energy and loves life while wanting to experience it as much as possible. This means she is constantly planning new thing things to undertake whether it is a trip, a concert to attend or even practicing her duelling. This can seem quite annoying to people at first but they do grow use to it in time.

This is where she meets Remus Lupin an older man she falls for and ends up marry. She also has his son by him- Teddy Lupin and unfortunately dies only months later.
